I have come across an interesting, unique writer named Larry Yoakum III.  Below is a link to his site.  I suggest if you are looking for a unique set of stories, check his site out to find out how to get his books.  It is a mix of sci-fi/horror/fantasy with his own twisted sense of humor.  If you are tired of the same old "human teen girl falls in love with a tortured soul of a vampire" or the usual clap-trap that Hollywood shoves down our gullets, read his stuff.  He has the Lord Knight's personal seal of approval.
